Our vacation

We cleaned the house for a week and took 2 15 passenger van loads of stuff to the dump. It is still not clean, but we can see the floors in a few rooms. If only we did not have so much stuff. :)

The laundry never seems to get done and put away on a consistent basis. I just wish the kids would put the clean laundrty that gets sent back to their rooms away and not throw it on the floor and ignore it. My girls have more clothes then they know what to do with, as evident by the mound of them on their bedroom floor. Ironically, they have nothing to wear.

Toys- Argh! My younger brother used to buy my sons any lego set he thought they would like. Thank heavens he is out of the military now and a poor college student. They only get small sets and not the hundreds of pieces sets they used to get. Only my 3 yr old daughter plays with most of the dolls now. Her big sister (12) was ready to strangle L after she gave most of the barbies haircuts. Most toys are now in the attic, as they were not picked up by their owners. I'll sort them this fall, when it gets cooler. Maybe I can give away the baby toys, finally?

I can totally relate to the van-load of things that need to go to Goodwill or the dump--it does pile up with a bunch of kiddos around, doesn't it?!?

Loved your son's quote about just not wanting to listen--at least his honesty dispenser wasn't clogged!

Blessings!

...and I shouldn't be watching tv--I was sort of making confession--Lost watching happens when laundry should be...there, I feel better...I think I'll go throw in a load...

oh, and if you do get the converter and all---don't even start watching Lost! Then your laundry pile will look like mine...

Blessings!

I can relate the this all too well...when we moved last month we took three van loads (stuffed full) to our version of the Salvation Army and three truck loads to the dump. Scary really. :)

I can't stand to throw things in the trash unless they are really, truly, trash. Therefore, I have an arrangement with a local shelter resale shop... I drop off everything with a donation to cover the dumpster fee and they decide what will and won't sell. And even with that I still have WAYYYYYY too much stuff! LOL!

Octamom- Work is here. No excitement today. I guess the other rats got smart once the first one was caught in the trap. Maybe when we move to our new offices on the otherside of the building it will be better.

I told hubby I wanted all the dirty clothes washed and dried today and I did not care if they had to use the dryer. I will sort them tonight and help the younger kids reorganise their dressers. Big sisters helped them put away their clothes and somehow at least 2 kids clothes are combined in the same drawers. School starts monday. I'll have 7 in school this year. The waitlist for the pre K our high school early child education class is almost full for the 2009 2010 school year. My 3 1/2 yr old was added to the list Thursday night. She is #9 on the list-they only guarantee the first 10 spots will get accepted. Only my #2 went to preK previously (she has a mild form of autism). We make too much for the government funded one and not enough to pay out of pocket. The high school preschool does not have any criteria except they need to be 4 and be going to Kindergarten the next year. Conceivably I could have 8 in school/college next fall.

We had this problem with the laundry too. It is a never-ending cycle. You might be interested in what we decided to do though, to help out a bit...It also gave us much space in each bedroom {always a plus}.

I explained it here, is you wish to read about it. :)
